Where To Eat

Post your own review of local eateries. Got a favorite hangout? Tell us why. Best pizza in town? Greatest value? Friendliest staff? Share! Remember – it’s for restaurants in and around Cooper City.

For our money the Blue Moon Diner has become a reliable destination for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Great service and a robust menu combined with fair prices should mean success (finally) to this end cap location on Griffin and 100th.

Have to add a note about Tijuana Flats on Stirling Road in the plaza just west of Pine Island. I know it’s a chain but the staff is always friendly, helpful and will spend time chatting if it’s not busy. The food is fresh and delivered quickly. Affordable, too. It’s hard to bust a $20 for two people. You have to have beer with your food to do it. Plenty of fun, tasty mild to very hot sauces to accompany your Mexican-ish food. Lots of menu choices for lite eaters as well as hearty eaters. Overall a very reliable “go-to” solution for inexpensive, casual dining.

I enjoyed dinner at Havana’s – meal excellent and not expensive. Pitcher of Sangria seems a bit pricey so we didn’t have it. Friendly, not too noisy. Go early.

Love the new Blue Moon Diner on Griffin at 100th, behind the McDonald’s. Plenty of good food, friendly, a high-end atmosphere. What more do you want. Handy for client meetings, too.

Tried the Melting Pot on Stirling and Flamingo for the first time. A bit pricey but FUN. Friendly, accurate service. Not a big fan of the cooking meat in boiling oil process but everything else was super. Incredible cheese fondue – same for chocolate dessert. Great salad, too. Next time, we’ll do a cheese fondue and a salad and be done with it – it’s plenty. Again, bring your good credit card but prepare to have a fun evening. Took us two hours. Bill for four people with Pelliigrino water and just one glass of wine was $170 for four courses – and we were stuffed.
